DIGITAL MEDIA & MARKETING INTERN

The Orlando Innovation Center is looking for a self-motivated digital media intern who would be excited to work at our facility for a 12-week long internship program beginning immediately. Our facility focuses on solving problems through fast-paced concept-through-completion prototyping. You will be hands-on to support digital media and marketing efforts surrounding sustainability-based projects that comes from our Siemens Energy customer. The digital media intern will have the opportunity to get experience with a variety of professional cinema and photography cameras in studio and R&D environments as well as innovate how we use digital marketing through new technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Help design and edit social media posts for Instagram and LinkedIn
     

  • Work within groups and independently to complete assigned tasks
     

  • Create engaging digital media packages to support the summer intern project
     

  • Research marketing & digital media trends within engineering and manufacturing industries
     

  • Engage with online communities through social media posts to build engagement with audience

  • Capture and edit photos and video of engineering projects, events, and activities
     

  • Complete assigned tasks on time
     

  • Attend meetings
     

  • Present Project updates and progression

Who You are

  • US Citizen or Approved to work in the U.S.
     

  • High school diploma or GED.
     

  • Rising Junior or Senior year communications, marketing, film or multimedia journalism student
     

  • Able to work 15-20 hours a week in office
     

  • Proficient in Adobe, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or other design, photo and video editing software 
     

  • Ability to assist in photo and film productions in a variety of environments
     

  • Interest or experience in Sony and Red cine cameras and rigging
     

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
     

  • Interest in media communications for industrial and engineering topics preferred

Additional Physical Requirements:

  • Able to move about the Center to work with team members.
     

  • Able to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
     

  • The vision requirements include; close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
